Skokie, Ill. – January 28, 2026 – Bushra Amiwala for Congress today released a new campaign advertisement as part of the Democratic primary for Illinois’ 9th Congressional District.

The 30-second spot, titled “Yes,” features Skokie School Board member Bushra Amiwala and outlines her priorities for Congress, including rejecting corporate PAC money, opposing ICE activity that targets immigrant neighborhoods, and lowering costs for working families.

In the ad, Amiwala speaks directly to voters about the issues shaping life across the district.

“People here deserve leadership that is accountable and rooted in the community,” Amiwala says.
